Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
This policy describes what IP Feed collects, why, and what you can do about it. It complements our Terms of Service — in case of conflict, the ToS controls.
What we collect
- Account information — name and email address provided by your Google account when you sign in.
- Settings — industries, watchlists, followed cases, and any articles you attach to cases.
- Subscription state — whether you have an active Pro subscription and its status (handled via Stripe; we do not store card details).
- Usage logs — request timestamps, IP address, and basic error telemetry for debugging and abuse prevention.
- Contact messages — anything you send through the Contact form.
What we don't collect
- Credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank information (Stripe handles all of this).
- Behavioral tracking across other websites.
- Device fingerprints or persistent identifiers beyond your session cookie.
How we use it
- Operate the Service — authenticate you, deliver filings, send alerts you asked for.
- Process subscription payments via Stripe.
- Email you watchlist digests, transactional receipts, and occasional service updates.
- Investigate abuse, bugs, and fraud.
We do not sell your personal data.
Subprocessors
We share data with the minimum number of third parties needed to run the Service:
- Google — authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Vercel — hosting and log infrastructure.
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL database.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Free Law Project / CourtListener — federal case data source.
- Anthropic — AI summaries (receives case name + cause; not user-identifying).
- Google News — article search queries.
- Upstash — rate-limit counters (anonymous IP hashes only).
Cookies
We set a session cookie when you sign in. It's required for the Service to work and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and — where required — ask for your consent.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Email the support address (see Contact in the app) and we will respond within 30 days. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us — this removes your profile, settings, watchlists, and subscription. Aggregate case data is retained for Service integrity.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion for backup-restoration purposes. Logs rotate on a 90-day window. Subscription and payment records are kept for 7 years for tax and accounting.
Children
IP Feed is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
Material changes are announced with an updated date at the top and, where required, a prompt to re-accept the Terms.
